Oklahoma Tour Invades the "Live Music Capital of the World"

24 Tour Members Travel to Branson, Mo for The Classic at Payne Stewart Golf Club!

Scott R. Chilcutt, Edmond, OK (May 18, 2010)   Branson, MO. the self proclaimed "Live Music Capital of the World" is host to the final Spring Major of the Golf Channel Am Tour at the new Payne Stewart Golf Club.

Vying for double points, a double prize fund and an automatic qualification to the National Championship for the top 3 in each flight at TPC Sawgrass in September 2010 check out a preview of the Oklahoma Tour Players making the trek by clicking "READ MORE AFTER THE JUMP".



Brad Christianson, Tulsa, OK - Making his tour debut, Mr. Christianson was scheduled to play at the Bixby Classic but had last minute conflicts. Playing out of Tulsa Country Club, Brad carries a + 1.6 handicap.

Curt Howard , Sapulpa, OK – After recent travels to the Raven in Tempe, AZ and sloshing in the mud at Russellville, AR, Curt makes his 1st Major start on the Am Tour, with Oklahoma wins at The Open @ Coffee Creek and the Bixby Classic.

Steve Lusk – Ponca City, OK – Another first time participant, Mr. Lusk carries a 0.4 handicap from Ponca City County Club.

Palmer Flight – 9 Players

Darren Montgomery – Oklahoma City, OK – Starting his 6th tournament on the Tour and 1st Major Tournament, Darren is 3rd in the Palmer Flight Points race.

Senior Palmer Flight – 9 Players

Roland Lewis, Tulsa, OK - Roland has 3 starts on the Oklahoma Tour this year, with 3 wins. Tying for 6th at the Texas Open at Barton Creek he finds himself 2nd in the Senior Palmer point’s race.

David McDaniel, Broken Arrow, OK – Starting his 5th tournament of the year, including the Texas Open @ Barton Creek, David’s Broken Arrow Company, Labor Finders, sponsors our Tournament Champion trophies.

Kelly Smith, Sentinel, OK – 2008 Senior Hogan National Champion, Mr. Smith is back on the tour with starts at The Texas Open @ Barton Creek and the Kickingbird Challenge.

Mel Yates, Texhoma, TX – This Oklahoma / Texas panhandle traveler was the 2010 Texas Open @ Barton Creek Senior Palmer Champion. Mel holds a slim 55 point lead over Roland Lewis in the Oklahoma Points race.

Hogan Flight – 15 Players

Jeff Banner, Lawton, OK – This Austin, TX native and first year player on the GC Am Tour, Jeff makes his debut start at a Major event after competing in the Kickingbird Challenge, Cowboy Classic and The Open@ Coffee Creek.

Todd Chapman, Tulsa, OK – Two time winner in 2009 along with a win at the season opener at Kickingbird, Todd comes off a runner up at the Bixby Classic after battling illness during The Open @ Coffee Creek.

Tim Mathis, Edmond, OK – After winning the points title in 2009 along with Multiple wins, Tim sits 3rd in the points race after winning at the Cowboy Classic in Stillwater.

David Shales, Tulsa, OK – First year player and storm chaser, David makes his first Major start after competing in 4 Oklahoma tournaments this year.

Senior Hogan Flight – 14 Players

Robert Lakey, Sayre, OK – Multiple National Championship competitor, Robert makes his 2nd Major start of the year, while competing at the Kickingbird Challenge and Cowboy Classic – Lakeside.

Jones Flight – 9 Total Players

Scott Bundrick, Tulsa, OK - After only playing a few events in 2009, Scott has perfect attendance on the Oklahoma Tour in 2010 and sits in 1st place in the Jones Flight with a slight 20 point lead over Ryan Cummings.

Scott Chilcutt, Edmond, OK – After working the Majors in Barton Creek and TPC Deere Run, this will be my first and last competitive round with the Am Tour in 2010. They already have me slated for San Antonio and the National Championships, to work that is.

Gary Chrisman, Oklahoma City, OK – First year tour member , Gary has competed in all the 2010 Oklahoma events in addition to traveling to Silverhorn Golf Club in San Antonio will make his first Major event start.

Ryan Cummings, Stillwater, OK – This rookie Am Tour player has made 5 starts, 3 wins and two runner up 2nd place finishes. In his first time out Ryan won the Tournament Champion trophy at the Kickingbird Classic.

Jimmy Smethers, Stigler, OK – With a wins in San Antonio and Kickingbird, Jimmy has two 2nd place finishes and sits in 3rd place in the point’s race in his first year of competition.

Senior Jones Flight – 12 Players

Mark Helms, Broken Bow, OK – 2nd year player Mark makes his first start of the season at Payne Stewart after winning the Tour Championship at Cimmaron Trails in 2009.

Shug Shuggart, Burneyville, OK – Shug made his debut on the Am Tour at The Open @ Coffee Creek and took home a strong 3rd place finish along with some skin money.

Snead Flight – 9 Players

Antonio Phillips, Geronimo, OK – Another first year player, Antonio has played all the Oklahoma events while also traveling to San Antonio and sits in 2nd place in the Snead Flight points battle.

Loyd Welch, McAlester, OK – Snead Flight Champion at the Texas Open @ Barton Creek, Loyd is a member of the Oklahoma Tournament Committee and Partner in the Oklahoma Tour.

Senior Snead Flight – 9 Players

G. Bob Fraley, Edmond, OK – Dr. Fraley is a long time tour member and took home the Tournament Champion Trophy and Snead Flight Championship at The Open @ Coffee Creek.

K.C. Montgomery , Fairview, OK – This 54 year old photographer spent the winter working on his game with a teaching pro and it show. K.C. has 2 flight wins, 2 Tournament Champion wins to go along with 2 runner up finishes in his 4 starts this year.
